At a certain point in my early youth, a profound sense of bitterness took hold. I was deeply dissatisfied waking up every morning to a reality I didn’t choose, forced to spend my days in a place where I didn’t feel I belonged. On my commute to school, music was my sanctuary. Looking back, I realize that this was the catalyst—the beginning of a deep awareness regarding what I choose for myself in life and what I do not.
My imagination was always vivid, but it eventually evolved into a laboratory for the life I wanted to create. I call it “Entrepreneurial Imagination.” It was the bridge that allowed me to shift from staring at the empty half of the glass to creatively thinking about how to fill it.
I grew up in an area where there wasn’t much culture, certainly nothing alternative. I didn’t even have the courage to venture beyond a certain radius to visit the cities where the shows were happening. I spent most of my youth listening to music, playing, photographing, and creating in a DIY studio—mostly within the four walls of my room. I truly struggled with the question: Why does it have to be this way? What a waste.
Slowly, I began to realize that where something isn’t working, there is room to fix it. If I couldn’t travel to a show, why not bring the show to me? Eventually, my parents’ basement became that place—not a dark cellar, but a vibrant, colorful hub where musicians from all over the country came to perform. This experience in home-production quickly opened doors, leading to the opportunity to produce my own stage at a major festival. If I already had the stage and the venue, why not use it to promote those who hadn’t yet found their way?
After various projects and businesses, I joined forces with people who identify with my experience—those who believe that change happens through our own hands. Today, I divide my time equally between nature and technology. The forest is my primary source of inspiration and where I recharge; this balance allows me to express my truest self and fuels everything I do at Ripples.
Ripples is a professional yet vibrant ecosystem where music, creativity, and connection meet. It is a space designed for the independent artist to own their evolution and amplify their voice. I’m no longer waiting for the world to change; I’m busy building the tools to make it happen.
Your Entrepreneurial Imagination is a compass for the world you want to build. Use it to find your voice where there is silence, and to create the momentum that only you can bring to life.
